West African Idols

The much publicised show finally started last Sunday on DSTV. I watched the show and was quite disappointed in the selection of the judgees. I think the selection was just a joke! They got it all wrong, let me give my thoughts on each of the judges chosen:

Dede - I give it to him that he knows something about music and all and some of his comments at times were damm funny, but my Gosh, he is a real pain in the neck, he likes to waste precious and expensive air time, i think he is trying too much to create suspense but the suspense turns to annoyance and it irritates the hell out of me, he is overly nasty without due reason, he is too personal to the contestatnts, he preaches too much, he is overly dramatic to the point of stupidity, infact the list is endless.....

Nana - I dont know what this lady is doing here, she is not stylish in any way, can someone pls tell me what is going on on her hair? Her comments are way of, she just sticks out like a sore thumb

Dan Foster - I love this guy to bits on Cool FM, i always look forward to listening to him, but I am afraid to say that he is not a television personality. I knew this right from the time that someone (who i think does not like him) managed to convince him to act in a Nigerian movie. I knew it right away from that movie that he does not have the same spark he has behind the radio mic as he had on TV. I advise him to stick to what he knows best. I do not enjoy his comments or his energy at all on this show. Its like he is handicapped. His comments are inconsistent, sometimes I wonder what has come upon him with some pple he said yes to

In summary, all the judges have got 'K-Leg' as we say in Nigeria, there is no chemistry between them at all. Well, maybe, just maybe, things will change and it may get better with all three of them, but for now, its so painful to watch. I thank God the contestatants are there to make it worth watching. I have been laughing like crazy in the last three days.
