As I drove out of my house a few days ago, i noticed a dead chicken on the road. What first came to my mind was "Bird Flu", i had to clam muself down and rationalise that it can as well be that the chicken met its untimely death by an accident either from a car or these crazy "okada". However, it just came to my mind, that if it was a qustion of the former, then am I not to report this sighting to the health officials etc etc....
I really wonder when Nigeria will be a country where things work, where day to day living will be something to look forward to. In these days of the Bird flu scare, and in a country which has been identified to have a human death case, I would expect the Govt health officials would have been bombarding the public with numbers to call in case any member of the public notices a strange bird death and stuff like that, but zilch, there is nothing like that......very unfortunate
